  • Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio

    New York State Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio, who represents the 2nd Assembly District covering Riverhead, Southold, and parts of Brookhaven on Long Island, is joining the Pickles & Paws Pickling Panel as a featured judge. With a background in business, public service, and strong support for Long Island’s agricultural and small business communities, she brings both expertise and enthusiasm to this exciting new event. Her commitment to supporting local initiatives and celebrating homegrown talent makes her the perfect fit for our 2026 Pickling Contest.

  • Gemma Parsons – Junior Judge Extraordinaire 🥒

    Don’t let her age fool you—14-year-old Gemma Parsons has the taste buds of a seasoned pickle pro and the personality to match! As the youngest member of our Pickle Panel, Gemma brings serious snack expertise and a whole lot of sparkle. When she’s not cracking jokes, making people smile, or serving up sass and sweetness in equal measure, you’ll find her spiking volleyballs on the court or reaching for her favorite snack—yep, pickles!

    A proud 9th grader with a heart of gold and a love for summer birthdays (shoutout to her July 1st crew!), Gemma’s lucky number is 3—because, according to her, “I peaked at age 3 and it’s been fabulous ever since.” With big energy and an even bigger love for all things briny, Gemma is ready to judge the best of the best with fierce flavor opinions and a whole lot of fun.

  • Legislator Greg Doroski

    Suffolk County Legislator Greg Doroski, represents Suffolk County’s 1st Legislative District covering Riverhead, Southold, Shelter Island and portions of Brookhaven and Southampton Towns.

    A beer brewer by trade, Greg was a founder of Threes Brewery in Brooklyn and has worked at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company before moving to MoonFish Brewery in Riverhead, giving him a firsthand understanding of small business and working people on the East End. Greg Doroski was born and raised in Mattituck, where he developed a deep appreciation for open spaces and for community involvement on the North Fork, and as a connoisseur of North Fork farms, Greg is looking forward to bringing his talents to serve as a judge on the Pickles & Paws Pickling Panel.

With a loyal following and a passion for all things delicious, Anna brings her expert palate and signature flavor-loving energy to the Pickles & Paws Pickling Panel. Whether it’s briny, spicy, or sweet, if it’s a pickle worth raving about—she’ll be the first to tell you.

  • Councilman Bob Kern

    Councilman Bob Kern brings his deep-rooted passion for agriculture, community service, and local flavor to the judging table at the inaugural Pickles & Paws Festival. As the first Long Islander to receive the New York State Agricultural Public Policy Award, Bob has spent decades championing Long Island’s farming and food industries—from managing Martha Clara Vineyards to serving on the Long Island Wine Council and Farm Bureau.

    With a seasoned palate, a love for local traditions, and a commitment to supporting small businesses and farmers, Bob is proud to help spotlight Long Island’s best pickles as an official Pickle Panel Judge.
